Every week renowned angel investors and VC firms recognize the potential of startups and financially back them at the seed stage.

This week agritech startups dominated the seed rounds, with three agritech startups raising seed funding. Here are the top 7 pre-seed and seed funding rounds from the week of April (22-28).

Poshn

Agritech startup Poshn has raised Rs. 28.8 crores in a seed funding round led by Prime Venture Partners and participation from Zephyr Peacock.

The round also saw participation from angel investors, including Irving Fain (CEO, Bowery Farming), Subbu Palaniappan (Director & Head of Amazon Prime India), Srinivas Narayanan (VP, Facebook AI Applied Research), Akhil Gupta (Founder, NoBroker), and among others.

Tractor Junction

Rural vehicle marketplace Tractor Junction raised $5.7 million in a seed funding round co-led by Info Edge Ventures and Omnivore.

Existing investors, AgFunder GROW Impact Fund and Rockstart AgriFood Fund also invested in the round, alongside angel investors including Vikram Chopra and Mehul Agrawal - Cofounders of Cars24, Vellayan Subbiah and Arun Venkatachalam from the Murugappa Group, etc.

GoPaani

Indore-based water delivery business management startup GoPaani has raised $600,000 in seed funding from 3one4 Capital and PointOne Capital. The round also saw participation from a host of angel investors, including Mukund Jha (Dunzo Co-founder), and Satish Thakur (AVP, Swiggy), among others.

VS Mani & Co, a specialty South Indian food brand, has raised $ 370,000 in an angel funding round. The round saw participation from angel investors, including Haresh Chawla (Partner, True North Co), Anupam Mittal (Founder and CEO, People Group), Ashish Hemrajani (Founder and CEO, BookMyShow), Sidharth Rao (Group CEO, DentsuMB), Rajan Navani (Founder and CEO, JetSynthesys), Rana Daggubati (Actor-Producer), and Sattva Group’s family office.
